Well, Frank Modern is open for business! Taking the leap to start a new business can be one of the scariest yet rewarding things you can do. My wife and I did quite a bit of research, but even then you don’t know how things are going to play out until you actually start.
Although Morgan and I are experienced at what we do, being the new estate agency on the block can be a pretty daunting thought. Like most entrepreneurs, we had all the usual concerns of any new venture; will people get in touch? Will they like our modern approach? Would they trust a new business to sell something as important as their home?
It’s great to see such a positive response to our unique approach; we have received many lovely comments about our family-run estate agency. A number of people have asked us about our businesses name – a subject close to our hearts. Our two-year-old son Frank was born 10 weeks prematurely, and although it was the most challenging time of our lives, he is now a happy and determined young man who we are incredibly proud of. For us, Frank was the start of our family. Because of Frank we moved into our new family home and bought our first family car. Frank was the start of our family life and so it only seemed befitting that we call our estate agency after our son, as we hope with Frank Modern our customers will find their family home.
In 2017 ‘Which’ magazine named Peterborough as the best place to live in Britain for young families. The Covid-19 pandemic has acted as an accelerator for change in people’s lifestyles, the spaces they wish to inhabit and more importantly where they want to live, and we believe Peterborough and the surrounding areas will be a beneficiary of this change.
Peterborough is an area of great potential; it is on London’s doorstep and is ideally placed for people wanting to seek London wages without the high living expenses. Ranked as the UK’s number one city for housing growth with a range of new developments, so whether you’re seeking a luxury home, something more affordable or a top apartment, there’s a home for everyone. With huge amounts of green spaces, beautiful landscapes, and country parks, you’ll be able to thrive in the great outdoors.
Peterborough is a culturally diverse city, from restaurants to coffee shops; entertainment venues, ice skating and live music; to historic landmarks such as Peterborough Cathedral, you’ll never be bored.
Setting up an estate agency during a global pandemic could be seen as risky but we can see the tides turning.
